Awards

Awards will be presented during the Closing Ceremony (Friday, June 14, 2019).

ORAL PRESENTATION AWARDS

Three awards will be assigned to the best oral presentations provided by students/young investigators.
Decision will be taken by a committee composed by the members of the International Organizing Committee.
The awards will consist of:

  1. First classified: a certificate and 250£ (sponsored by the Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, an IOP Publishing journal)
  2. Second classified: a certificate and 250€ (sponsored by Elsevier)
  3. Third classified: a certificate and a 200€ e-book voucher (sponsored by Springer)

POSTER PRESENTATION AWARDS

Three awards (one per poster session) will be assigned to the best poster presentations provided by students/young investigators.
Decision will be taken by a committee composed by the members of the International Organizing Committee.
The awards will consist of a certificate and a 250€ book voucher (sponsored by Wiley)

3-MIN POSTER PITCH AWARDS

Two awards (one per poster pitch session) will be assigned to the best poster pitches provided by student participants who expressed their interest for presenting during the poster pitch session.

Decision will be taken by all conference participants through online voting.
The awards will consist of a certificate and a 200€ e-book voucher (sponsored by Springer)

All participants can vote for the best 3 min poster pitch (one for each session).

THEMATIC AWARD: MATERIAL PROCESSING

The best oral presentation and the best poster presentation provided by students/young investigators and related either to topic 4 (Plasma deposition of functional coatings and treatment of inorganic and organic materials) or topic 8 (Plasma treatment of biomaterials) will receive a certificate and 250€ (sponsored by Biointerphases).
Decision will be taken by a committee composed by:

THEMATIC AWARD: THERMAL PLASMAS

The best oral presentation and the best poster presentation provided by students/young investigators and related to thermal plasma science and engineering will receive a certificate and 600$ (sponsored by Journal of Thermal Spray Technology).
Decision will be taken by a committee composed by:

  1. Dr. Murphy (CSIRO / Australia)
  2. Prof. Watanabe (Kyushu University / Japan)
  3. Prof. Mostaghimi (University of Toronto / Canada)
  4. Prof. Cressault (Paul Sabatier University / France)

The names of the awardees will be announced during the Closing Ceremony (Friday, June 14, 2019).

Up to 30 students will have the opportunity to introduce their posters in a 3 min Poster Pitch (1 slide, no animations) immediately before the Monday and Tuesday poster sessions.

Two awards (one per poster pitch session) will be assigned to the best poster pitches provided by student participants who expressed their interest for presenting during the poster pitch session.

Decision will be taken by all conference participants through online voting.
The awards will consist of a certificate and a 200€ e-book voucher (sponsored by Springer)
